The Art of Considered Dressing

The Art of Considered Dressing

An Evening of Modern Wardrobe Thinking

On an early autumn evening in London, Vera Wang welcomed the founders of Wardrobe Icons, Laura Fantacci and Petro Stofberg, to host an intimate three-course dinner celebrating the shared language of modern dressing.

Founded in 2014 by former fashion editors Laura and Petro, Wardrobe Icons has built its philosophy around the idea of the forever piece — championing considered purchases, enduring style and a wardrobe built to be lived in season after season. Their approach favours thoughtful curation over the constant pursuit of what is new, with an emphasis on quality, versatility and pieces that earn their place in a wardrobe.

It is a philosophy that closely mirrors Vera Wang’s own approach to Ready-to-Wear. At the heart of the partnership is a shared belief that clothing should have longevity — that the most compelling pieces are those that can be interpreted, restyled and returned to over time. The relationship between the two houses felt instinctive: a conversation around the value of a considered wardrobe and the personal expression that comes with it.

The evening brought together an intimate group of women from across fashion, beauty and the arts, creating a setting for conversation, connection and discovery. Over dinner, guests were introduced to the Vera Wang Ready-to-Wear collection and the ideas behind its design, from the balance of structure and softness to the versatility of its wardrobe foundations.

Guests were also given an exclusive first look at the Spring/Summer 2027 collection, offering a glimpse into the next chapter of Vera Wang Ready-to-Wear and the evolving language of the House.

Beyond the collections, the evening offered an introduction to Vera Wang’s Private Client services — from private styling appointments to luxury concierge support — designed to make the experience of discovering and wearing the collection more personal.

The evening was ultimately less about a single season and more about a shared approach to dressing: pieces chosen with intention, worn in unexpected ways and made personal by the woman who wears them. A natural meeting of two perspectives, Vera Wang and Wardrobe Icons came together around the belief that true style is not dictated by the season, but built over time.
